Hi David, I had the same problems like you did i day ago. I finally gor my signal back. This is what i did. I hope this helps

1. Download the ipsw for 3.1.2 http://www.redmondpie.com/download-the-new-ipho...

2. Download the ipsw on to your desktop
3. Open iTunes and press "Option(Mac)" Alt(windows) and click on the restore button
4.Select the ipsw from the desktop and restore the iphone
5. Now jailbreak it using blackrain
6. After the iphone reboots, the blackrain icon should be seen.
7. Click on it and install only cydia and install it.
8. Next click again on the blackrain icon and select snow and install it.
9. Do not install both at the same time!
10. Restart the iphone
11. You may be lucky to get your signal now, if not then
12. Select you carrier and not to Automatic
13. Put the iPhone into the Airplane mode
14. Remove the simcard, wait for a minute or two
15.Do not select ok to "No Sim Card Available"...dont worry about it
16. Put in the Sim Card
17 Wait a minute, and then put the iphone Airplane into "Off" Mode
18. I hope this gives you a signal...

Hi when unlocking with sn0w from blackra1n, the SIM card and carrier work fine, but I've lost many of the applications like “Calendar”, “Calculator”, “App Store”, “Mail”, “Contacts” and “Maps”. Does anyone know how to get them back??

Hello, I have tried restoring and re-jailbreaking numerous times and still have the same problem. Sn0w will not unlock my phone for some reason. I'm running 3.1.2 on 5.11.07 baseband, everything seems to go smooth but after it says it's completed, I still get the No Service icon.

I have iphone 3G and ATT regular plan I don't want to use the data plan how can I do that? I already Jailbreaked and Snowed … but it won't see ATT service? Help _ Thx

Hmmm all efforts to get a signal have failed, question is what possible circumstance can lead an iPhone to fail to gain signal… all of the available carriers are there listed, but get dropped or fail to connect. Any answers or suggestions of avenues to search greatly appreciated.

How can I unlock my iPhone 3G with 3.1.2, with other tool than blackra1n? The jailbreak works (with redsn0w) but after I do the blackra1n unlock, it crashes and won't boot (I just want to unlock, it's already jailbroken). Thank you

happened to me too, but I installed Cydia, then went back into blackra1n to load sn0w… that fixed it
