Tweetbot 3 For Mac Launches, Here Are The Details

Tapbots today launched the next version of its popular Twitter app for macOS, with Tweetbot 3 now available for download from the Mac App Store.

Tweetbot 3 brings with it a newly redesigned interface which is not merely a riff on the previous version but is instead a design which has been created afresh and from the ground up for the Mac.

A fresh interface is something users of the older Tweetbot 2 will immediately notice, with a better use of space evident. The overall look and feel of the app is decidedly cleaner, something that users will no doubt appreciate compared to some more cluttered alternatives.

One of the biggest features of Tweetbot both in the Mac and on iOS is its ability to mute text strings, users and hashtags. With Tweetbot 3 a single click can give users instant access to muting, blocking or filing a report on Twitter accounts which is definitely something we need in the current Twitter climate. Persistent icons when viewing tweets also allow for more speedy replying, too.

Fans of dark themes will be pleased to know that Tweetbot 3 includes both light and dark themes as standard and both can be accessed via the preferences within the app.

In addition to this, Tweetbot 3 also features Expandable Sidebar, Columns being built from scratch with drag and drops support, inline media playback, and much more.

The new Tweetbot 3 app is available to buy from the Mac App Store and costs $9.99. If you already own a previous version of Tweetbot then you will need to buy again, although if you get as much use out of you Twitter apps as we do, then it’s a small price to pay for such a well designed app.
