Hi! I tried it on a Dell Studio 15 with Windows 7 64bits and it works! It's Great! Is there a way to add a combination of keys to wake the LCD instead of the mouse movement? That would also be a nice feature. Thanks for your great work!

i own a sony vaio vgn-fw245 and it works great! i dont mind the DOS console but there is one issue. when i turn my screen back on and open iTunes, an error appears:

"QuickTime Handler Window: iTunes.exe - Unable To Locate Component
This application has failed to start because d3dx9_36.dll was not found."

does any one else have this proble,??

Well I need an application like this, just that will be great, if the backlight not turning on, when I use the keyboard. I dont mind if I use the touchpad – the backlight come back….
That will be great, if backlight come back only if I press a keyboard combination like: ctrl + l …. Anyone can help me? Thank you very much!

Thank you very much my laptop case is cracked at the back where you close the lid on the laptop and it wont turn the LCD off. Now with your application you made i click on it and it shut off the screen and i can close my laptop while listing to music while the light is off thank you.works on win xp pro 32-bit/dell inspiron 1501

works perfectly on sony vaio fw43g running win7 64bit.
even better if you pin it straight onto your taskbar.
very convenient.
hopefully version 1.02 will see the fadeout to 'off screen' loose the cmd prompt box that flashes up VERY briefly.
nonetheless, ideal for nighttime music listening, or as a 'boss key' function!

Version 1.01 working in a Windows 7 Home Premium x86 notebook. But while the fading effect takes place to turn off the LCD, I can see the MS-DOS console window.

If you move the mouse again then the screen turns back on.

on my Toshiba satellite with windows 7 it blanks then the screen comes right back on. ???
