This Downloader For iPhone Lets You Download SoundCloud Music For Offline Playback

Downloading SoundCloud music for playback offline is now nice and easy with Sound Downloader.

While SoundCloud might not be able to truly compete with the likes of iTunes it does have a place alongside them. Offering a way for lesser known artists to get their music into the hands of fans, SoundCloud is hugely popular amongst people trying to find new and exciting music in an otherwise cold and calculated industry.

Unfortunately the official SoundCloud iOS app has one drawback and that is the fact that it needs an Internet connection in order to function. That’s all well and good when you are on Wi-Fi, but when you’re not you’re out of luck.

But not with Sound Downloader.

Free but with in-app purchases – we’ll get to those in a minute – Sound Downloader gets around that limitation by allowing you to download any track you want so that you can listen offline.

But there is a catch in the form of coins.

1

Coins are the in-app currency that you will need to buy in order to download your music. The number of coins needed to download tracks varies, but there is no escaping the fact that the track-by-track fees will leave a bad taste in the mouth of many. We have a sneaky suspicion that none of the money from coins goes to the artists in question and that might be a problem for you.

3

Morality aside, the Sound Downloader app does what it says it will and that’s something that many will appreciate. By making it possible to download tracks, Sound Downloader offers a feature that many would lay some money down for outright. We just wish that was what the app’s developer had decided to do in the forest place.
