This Awesome Free iOS 8 Widget Brings Detailed Device Stats And Info To Your iPhone

If you’re a little on the geeky side then you probably love a good statistic, we know we do. It also means that we like to know every little detail about the hardware and software we use. Apps like iStat Menu are always popular amongst people that like to take a keen interest in what’s going on with their systems, so when we hear of a new app that does a similar thing for iOS but is free, we take notice.

The app in question is called SnapStats, and despite that name, it actually has absolutely nothing to do with Snapchat. We’re sure we won’t be the only ones that incorrectly made that assumption when clicking on the app’s title in the App Store.

Completely free of charge and offering a version for both iPad and iPhone in one app, SnapStats gives downloaders a lovely-looking way of keeping tabs on just what is going on inside that sheet of glass and metal that they’re carrying around. Information like boot time, battery usage, memory and CPU usage and even a tool for checking the jailbreak status of a device are all included, and those who have gone all-in on the Today view will be pleased to know that a widget is also included that means they can get all the information they want without having to open the app proper. In fact, we would argue that the Today widget is probably the best way to see what’s what, and it looks gorgeous to boot.

From the app’s description on the App Store:

and much more…

All the usual devices are supported by SnapStats following a recent update that added support for both new iPads as well as fixing some reporting issues with Apple’s latest iPhones.
