The mobile market is awash with some weird and wonderful protective case, most of which aim to serve the practical needs of those who buy them. Some, however, catch people’s attention due to their sheer cool factor, and if you’re a fan of Batman, we’ve got a pretty epic iPhone case that any respectable follower should have in their collection.

Like so many comic-based cases, it’s bold, brash, and designed to be noticed rather than squirreled away in the pocket. We love minimal design here, and tend to lean towards those barely-there covers that preserve the form factor of the original product, but today, we’re feeling like excitable children at the prospect of this Batman case.

To label it as a ‘Batman’ case would be underselling it quite considerably. For when attached to your beloved iPhone, it turns it into a fully-fledged, all-singing Batmobile, and even arrives complete with some epic LED lights.

The epitome of showy-offy, the lights further cement the Batmobile case’s status as the ultimate in smartphone casing extravagance, and aside from the brights, there are a couple of other delicious treats that will be welcomed by Batman enthusiasts far and wide.

Notably, the case covers the Home button with Batman’s belt for added effect, and where the purchase of this product will forgo all sense of practicality, one cannot deny the geek-fuelled beauty of it.

Should the glaring lights and Batman belt have not sold you, then you might be intrigued to learn of the mini-projector also packed into this amazing contraption, one that can beam a bat-signal onto any flat surface.

No stone has been left unturned in the creation of this truly wonderful Batmobile case, although getting hold of one might be a bigger task than convincing your friends that you’ve left your childhood behind you.

It’s currently retailing on a number of Japanese sites for around $50, an asking price that’ll no doubt rise once you factor in shipping fees and whatnot. If you’re not up for the long wait that usually occurs when purchasing products from Asia, you can snap the Batmobile case up on eBay, although prices may double for this privilege.

What do you make of this case? Do your Batman-loving tendencies outweigh your need for a functional, lightweight iPhone case? Share your thoughts with us below!
