2015 is inching closer each day, and as this year draws to an end you will find the best of ‘everything’ of 2014 – be it apps, cars, cosmetics, movies etc. – on the Internet. As websites try and wrap up their best efforts of this year, Google is not going to wait for any acknowledgement as the search engine giant has released its own “Best Apps of 2014” list.

With the list coming in this afternoon, you will find a variety of familiar apps in there if you’re a seasoned Android user.

A list of 62, these are all the apps that Google deemed to be the most popular in the U.S. If you happen to be outside of the States, then you will still see Google’s pick of the best apps of 2014, but those would be based on your location. For example, if you’re in UK, you will not be seeing SwiftKey Keyboard in the list as seen above.

It is interesting to know that not a lot of home launcher replacement apps have made it to the list and personalization ones are missing as well. The popular apps seem to be the ones that offer the most productivity, if the list is anything to go by.
