Super Mario Run For iOS Gets A Release Date And Price

Nintendo today has announced release date and price details of Super Mario Run for iOS, the highly anticipated mobile game that the company recently announced for Apple’s iPhone and iPad platform.

Super Mario Run was originally announced by Nintendo on-stage at Apple’s special September media event where the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, along with Apple Watch Series 2, were also introduced to the world for the very first time.

Come December 15th, Super Mario Run will be available to download from the iOS App Store free of cost featuring three different game modes which the users can try in parts before having to pay full $9.99 in-app purchase to unlock the full access to aforementioned three game modes.

Super Mario Run will be available in as many as 151 countries and regions on launch day, and with support for 10 different languages, including: English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian and traditional Chinese language.

The game will require an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 8.0 or later firmware to run.

“The wait is almost over for a Super Mario game that can be played on mobile devices,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Developed under the direction of Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto, Super Mario Run brings a new take on the series’ beloved action-platforming gameplay to iPhone and iPad for the first time.”

You can pre-register for the game right now if you want by heading to the App Store and and turning on Notify option for Super Mario Run’s placeholder page on App Store.
