Sketches Pro For iOS Goes Free For Limited Time As Apple’s App Of The Week [$5 Value]

It’s weekend time, so for those of you looking to go app hunting on iPhone or iPad, there is yet another paid app to be grabbed for free from the App Store courtesy of Apple’s Free App of the Week initiative. This week’s title usually retails for $4.99, but till Thursday, it can be downloaded for free.

Called Tayasui Sketches Pro, it is one of the top sketching apps available on the iOS platform right now, with a ton of features including an array of refined “brushes to create the most realistic drawing tools.”

As the developer puts it, the app “is the most realistic, versatile and user-friendly sketching app designed for a mobile device. This exhaustive artist’s toolbox helps users create dazzling sketches, cheerful paintings and smashing illustrations on the go.”

If you’re a bit intimidated by the Pro tag – speaking strictly for casual dabbers – Tayasui Sketches Pro is basically the free version of the app plus a bundle of Pro in-app purchases included that brings “Extra tools, Layers and many more pro features.”

There are over 20 “ultra-realistic” tools thrown into the experience, as are some watercolor wet brushes. Not satisfied with the given brushes? No problem, there’s an editor for customizing your brushes as well. Oh and of course, no drawing or sketching app will be complete without the inclusion of layers support, which also more importantly leads to the ability of exporting your layer as a separate PNG file with transparency right from the app. Pretty cool!

There’s also a little something extra for iPad owners, with developers throwing in support for folders, which allows you to easily “organize your drawings in beautiful and easy to personalize folders or books.” Speaking of hardware, yes there’s pressure stylus support built right in, with the developer telling us that the app supports “Apple, Wacom and Adonit Styluses.”

Head over to the App Store to download the app for free on your iPhone or iPad right now.
