Sorry, but there are a couple of things that aren't clear to me. 1) I cant update to 3.1.3 .ipsw from iTunes but WHERE do I get the CUSTOM .ipsw firmware that I will need to browse and install from redsnow?
I'm using 3.1.2 with 04_05_04_G basdeband on an iphone 2G. But you've given unlock links only for 3G, 3GS and baseband 5.11.07. So how on earth am I supposed to unlock the phone after I jailbreak it?

updating your iphone unlocked it locks again and you unlock it again.
If you want to update with the latest firmware you can unlock it with a lot of software that are in the network, if you want to downgrade you can download the firmware you need from this blog.

Hey, what's the baseband for the original OS 3.1.2 download link you've given? I have a jailbroken and unlocked 2G phone with OS 3.1.2 and baseband 04.05.04_G that I want to restore because it keeps crashing and restarting (could it be due to the cracked apps I've installed?). But I don't want to inadvertently upgrade to 5.11 baseband because I read somewhere that it has issues with WiFi.
Also, could you please tell me if my unlocked phone will lock again if I restore via a custom .ipsw file?

where do i get the binary files? mine's a 2G and when i checked the unlock box, it requires 2 binary files.
