Popular $7 Calendar App For iPhone And iPad Goes Free For Just 48 Hours, Download It From Here!

Free apps are great, but apps that usually cost money (and are worth every penny) but go free for a limited time are awesome. We’d have to put Readdle’s Calendars 5 app in that category after the company announced that its hugely popular calendaring and task management app will be free for 48 hours. Usually priced at $6.99, the saving is not to be sniffed at.

With Apple’s own iOS 7 calendaring app proving to be less than stellar for anyone wanting even the most modest of features, the door was left wide open for third-parties to enter the fray with the own alternatives of which there are many. We’ve been fans of Readdle’s work for as long as we can remember, and the latest Calendars 5 is one of our favorite calendaring apps across the iOS ecosystem. In fact, it’s probably tied with Fantastical 2 for the top spot on that particular list. High praise indeed.

If you’ve been on the fence about spending seven dollars on an app that manages your calendars and reminders, then now is well and truly the time to give it a whirl. After all, the list of features is compelling.

Without a doubt the most eye-catching of those features is Calendars 5’s natural text input. Creating new calendar events is one of the most boring things you can do on a smartphone or tablet, but the folks at Readdle have tried to make it as painless as possible. Simply typing something like "Meet Ronald at McDonalds on Friday at 6pm" would see an event created based on that criteria. Immediately, you’re given a new appointment with the name of the person you’re meeting, the time and the location all filled in for you. If you’ve got Ronald in your address book, Calendars 5 can even send him an email, too.

If you’ve been struggling along with the stock iOS 7 Calendar app, then now is the time to make the upgrade to something a little more powerful. Throw in the fact that Calendars 5 for iPhone and iPad can also handle reminders that sync with the built-in Reminders app, and you really can’t go wrong.
