If you’re a baseball fan and in particular, a follower of the Major League, then you’ve come to the right place since one of the most popular titles has just dropped from $9.99 to absolutely free of charge. It’s often the case that developers throw out some decent savings on great games and apps, but seldom do we see a price drop of ten bucks, and with the limited-time promo offer coinciding with a major point-nought update, this is a must-download for all MLB fanatics.

To mark the big version 4.0 update, Hothead Games have offered MLB Big Stars Baseball free of charge on the App Store. With the new baseball season now upon us, many followers of the sport will be on the hunt for a new game or two, and while this already-good game has just gotten a whole lot better thanks to a plethora of new features, the fact that it’s also now free is simply the icing on the cake.

For the uninitiated, MLB Big Stars Baseball is one of those management-type games where you build your own squad and try to achieve big things as you accumulate new stars. Your eventual goal, naturally, is to win the World Series, but such is the depth of the game, that it will take a lot of time and patience for you to get there.

Thanks to the update, players can now get hunting for the 100-rated ‘Legend’ players, which can be attained through the Championship Mode. As you’d expect, the rosters have also been updated for the 2014 MLB season, and with bronze, silver, gold and platinum versions of each player, it’s going to take you a great deal of time to build that perfect line-up.
