Also tweaked in this release are the day and night modes that have now been changed to correctly and accurately show the current time to you, the Trainer.

The full official changelog of version 1.21.0 for iOS and 0.51.0 for Android is as follows:

-The bug that caused incorrect vibration notifications has been fixed.

-Day and night modes have changed to more accurately reflect the Trainer’s current time of day.

-Minor text fixes.

As mentioned earlier, this new update is relatively minor compared to previous updates from couple of weeks ago which not only brought first of Gen 2 characters to Pokemon Go, but also introduced festive and holiday-themed changes, and loads of other improvements.

Niantic is also expected to release Pokemon Go app for Apple Watch soon. While rumors of watchOS app being scrapped spread like wildfire over the past weekend, Niantic was quick to refute them all and confirmed that the app is still being worked on and will be out soon. Now whether it will be available before the original end of year estimate or not is anybody’s guess at this point.

Coming back to today’s iOS and Android update, while the new 1.21.0 and 0.51.0 version of Pokemon Go is already out on the app stores in some regions, but since the update is still in the process of being rolled out worldwide, it may not be live in all regions just yet.

In case you can’t see it in your local app store yet, just keep checking your region-specific App Store or Google Play Store where it is supposed to show up anytime now.
