Am I missing something here? The article is about animated wallpapers on the Droid running "Android 2.1" and the link to the rooting howto says it's for "Android 2.1", but the link really goes to rooting "Android 2.0.1". Other forums have lead me to believe 2.1 is not rootable (yet) but I was hoping your clear wording in talking about 2.1 meant you found a way. But I'm now wondering if it was a case of "search and replace" without proper testing.

If I'm missing something and there *is* a way to root the Android 2.1 (I just got a Droid a couple days ago, it came with 2.1.-update1), please update the howto and/or link this article to the correct one! If not, then this whole page about animated wallpapers in Droid 2.1 is meaningless and should be either renamed 2.0.1 or removed.

Actually, my Droid came with animated wallpaper anyway, I'm really looking for the rooting information that I was hoping this article would lead me to. But that shouldn't keep you from fixing an obvious mistake on this article.

For Steps 6 and 7: how do I enter the busybox commands in recovery mode? I do have busybox v1.15.2 installed as well. Thanks
