Multify Brings Intuitive Side-By-Side Multitasking To iOS 8

With newly released Multify jailbreak tweak, you can get true and intuitive side-by-side multitasking in iOS 8, running on iPhone or iPad. More details can be found right here.

Costing $5 in the Cydia jailbreak store, the tweak is developed by John Corbett and Joel Einbinder. Once installed, it can be activated via a whole range of different Activator gestures and effectively allows users to run two or more different iOS apps side-by-side. The tweak, which incidentally works fine on any iOS 8 device, really is a thing to behold.

With configurable options that include the size of the multitasking apps as well as their location, Multify makes it possible to have a Web page open for reasearch while also typing away inside a user’s text editor of choice. That feature alone could be a big win for many people.

Inside Multify’s settings, you will be able to change activation methods, the appearance of the tweak and its interface and set a list of favorite apps for quick launching capabilities.

Multify isn’t the cheapest tweak on Cydia, but on the face of it, we have to say it may be one of the coolest, and indeed most useful we have seen in a long time. If you are into getting most out of your iOS device, spending $5 on it could well be the best decision you make this week. But, if you think the $5 asking price is a little high for you, then you should give alternatives like ReachApp a shot, which does the same thing, but has its own little twist to proceedings.
