Leaked Galaxy Note 8 Renders Show Off Rumored Features

Newly leaked information is providing the smartphone-loving community with some additional insight into the capabilities of Samsung’s next flagship device, the Galaxy Note 8.

It seems that most consumers have finally got to the point where they have managed to push the Note 7 debacle to the back of their minds, leaving Samsung perfectly placed to have another stab at capturing the phablet-loving market with a highly capable hardware release.

A set of leaked renders purporting to be of the Galaxy Note 8 give us a visual indication of what Samsung is hoping to achieve with the release of the aforementioned device. The shown renders give us a front, rear, top, and bottom view of what is said to be Samsung’s phablet, and instantly raise excitement levels by alluding to two potential feature improvements that will definitely have Android fans salivating; the integration of a dual-camera system and a fingerprint sensor embedded under the display of the device.

As standalone features, those two things aren’t particularly revolutionary. A number of capable devices on the market already have dual-cameras, but given how Samsung’s hardware excels at photography with a single camera integration, it’s going to be particularly exciting to see what the company can do with a device like the Note 8 with two embedded sensors on the rear.

The images do a fairly good job of visually highlighting what that installation would look like. There’s also the fact that the lack of a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device alludes to an under display solution.

Another leak also suggests that Samsung would be looking to reduce the radius of the Note 8’s display corners when compared to the S8 and S8+. Whether or not that is a technical decision or one based on aesthetics, is something we’ll have to wait for to be answered.

As with most unofficial leaks of this nature, nothing is actually set in stone until we either see an official Unpacked announcement from Samsung, or we actually have the device in our hands. Both of those features are definitely things that the marketplace would want to see from a brand new Note 8 device, but whether Samsung sees it the same way is an entirely different story. One thing that’s likely for sure is that the Note 8 will sport the stunning Infinity Display pulled straight from the beautiful Galaxy S8, which would make the hardware an instant hit with a large number of Android users.

One thing for sure, Samsung is definitely bringing the Note series back, and it’s likely to come with a huge splash.
