Comments on: Jailbreak and Unlock iPhone 3.1.2 Firmware on Windows

after installing an application to activate MMS function for my jailbarakes 3gs VERSION 3.1.2, my iphone became IPOD!! i try to remove the application but unfortunately my iphone entered the recovery mode. i tried to restore to factory setting but the message on itunes told that my sim is not supported. prior to that, i just download without install the version 3.1.3, and after follow through your guide, i realised that the version is auto updated to 3.1.3!! Can i downgrade from 3.1.3 back to 3.1.2?

Hi…I followed all the steps shown above but my phone is still locked (has the itunes and USB logo) and when i connect it to the computer itunes says that the SIM is not supported…
what do i need to do?? I have and iphone 2g 16 GB and i just forced it to downgrade to 3.1.2

Hello,
I was doing the jail breaking process, but got stuck in the Step 9. I downlaoded the custom ipsw file from one of the torrent. Now the iPhone has entered recovery mode and not bale to get it back. ITunes asks to restore and says it will update its with the latest ispw. I tired to put the old 3.1.2 but it doesnot accept. Do I risk updating my firmware to 3.1.3 and hence lose the chance of jail breaking my iPhone? Is there any way out?

Hello and thanks for posting this. I have a 2G/original Iphone, which I jailbroke and unlocked using the method above. It seemed to work fine for a month, but the Edge network kept dropping out. It just got worse and now it stopped altogether. My phone was running older software that was unlocked and jailbroken, when I upgraded to 3.1.2 (7D11). I talked to my carrier (T-Mobile) thinking that it was their network and they said that all of a sudden iphone users are experiencing a loss of data service. They think it is something that Apple put into their software. Any ideas?

please help.. i install blackra1n .. it works.. but i uninstall it accidentaly and now when i want to install it again it doesnt work.. the geohot pict appear .. but the blackra1n didnt show up in my iphone.. please help me to figure out whats wrg =C
