Down load firmware 3.1.2 zip file and rename file extension to .ispw. To bypass itunes authentication, modify the “hosts” file located C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetc.<br>utube has a good explanation on adding the URL address but the trick is to create a new host file. So add the new line to the old host file, using note pad create a new file named “temp” then cut and paste all the lines from the old hosts file into the new. Delete the old file and rename the new file to hosts. Connect phone, open itunes, press shift and restore at the same time. Locate the 3.1.2 firmware file. Worked for me. Once 3.1.3 is installed theres no going back.

There's no real point. They're just hoping the Apple lovers will want one for the fact it has an Apple logo. They failed. I have a damn Apple logo tattooed on me and i don't even want the damn thing. Add multitasking, a camera, video conferencing, Flash, iChat and i'm sold. But as it is.. they can keep the damn thing.
