I have read the instructions . But they are confusing me that if anything goes wrong then i might loose the unlocking. Also the instructions say that don't update to 3.1.3 and if so then to downgrade some shsh file is needed which must have been saved before upgrading to 3.1.3.
now i have gone past all these stages .
The status is that the iphone is unlocked and with 3.1.3. Now how to go forward to jaibreak

Hi all,

I have an officially unlocked iphone 3G (was unlocked long time ago before the release of version 3.1.1, if i remember correctly).
Now my version is 3.1.3 on the phone. I just wish to jailbreak it .

Experts' guidance needed.

most probably you followed the above steps to the letter….
when you chose the IPSW file, click on the one created on your desktop, as otherwise you end up installing the original 3.1.3 posted by Apple!!!

There is a way to downgrade, but you need to download the firmware 3.1.2.
