iOS 11.2.5 Public Beta 1 Download Released

After releasing iOS 11.2.5 beta 1 to developers only yesterday, today Apple released iOS 11.2.5 public beta 1 to those testers who are registered on the company’s Apple Beta Software Program portal.

The release of iOS 11.2.5 has been some what strange given the fact that iOS 11.2.1 was released to general consumers with critical HomeKit security fix only yesterday, and that there has been no sign of 11.2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 in between 11.2.1 and 11.2.5 beta 1 releases.

As far as changes go, not much is known about this update, neither have we discovered any feature changes in it. It’s likely that this update is strictly a bug fix update with under-the-hood improvements and security patches being order of the day. Apple’s own release notes issued to developers alongside beta 1 of iOS 11.2.5 confirms the same.

If you are registered on Apple Beta Software Program portal with configuration profile for iOS betas installed on your device, you can grab iOS 11.2.5 Public beta 1 from Settings > General > Software Update section of your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device. If this is the first time you are installing an iOS public beta, you need to head over to beta.apple.com to get started.

Alongside iOS 11.2.5 public beta 1, Apple has also seeded first public beta of tvOS 11.2.5 to testers. Apple HomePod has also received 11.2.5 beta firmware update, though that update, as expectedly, is only available to internal Apple testers.
