iOS 11.1 Beta 4 / Final Expected Release Date

Here’s iOS 11.1 beta 4 or final version download and expected release date details for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch developers, testers and users with compatible devices.

So far we have had three developer and public beta seeds of iOS 11.1. Apple has seeded the last two seeds with a week interval between them while the gap between the first and seconds seeds was around one and half week.

Keeping this in mind, and the fact that iPhone X pre-orders date of October 27 and launch/delivery date of November 3 are now almost here, we expect Apple to either release a beta 4 seed to developers and public testers as early as Monday, October 23, or directly release the final version of iOS 11.1 to end-users any time next week.

The reason we think that the final version of iOS 11.1 could drop as early as next week instead of beta 4 is because Apple is running out of time to make sure iPhone X ships out of factories running iOS 11.1 out-of-the-box, as well as the fact that KRACK WPA2 WiFi vulnerability, which has already been patched as of iOS 11.1 beta 3, needs to be rolled out to all users as soon as possible as it’s a critical security risk for Apple device owners

Having said this, there’s equal chance of Apple dropping iOS 11.1 beta 4 next week and then release iOS 11.0.4 in the same week with a fix for KRACK vulnerability. If this is what’s going to eventually happen, then it’s likely that iPhone X will ship with iOS 11.0.4 out-of-the-box instead of iOS 11.1, which as far as we know looks unlikely.

Whatever the case maybe, we will of course keep you updated on the latest situation regarding this. Stay tuned for more.
