Basically The new ipod will have a camera (which will be weak like a cell phone camera…) and a dedicated graphics chip (no where near as powerful as the zunes) and a voice reocrder and your stuck with itunes, The zune will have an OLED screen, be cheaper, Will not force i tunes down your throat, and will also have apps and HD radio and a better battery life… i think ill sacrifice the camera for the Ntegra processor which will be able to play WAY more advanced games. Sorry apple… better make a deal with ATI and quick or you lost this match…. the only way apple will be able to have any pull is if the camera is decent (5 mp or more)

If I disregard the price difference, I would definitely get the new Touch. The built-in camera would be great for anyone who doesn't wanna carry around a camera, or have a cell phone with one (which I don't). All-in-all, I wouldn't really mind spending 50-100 dollars more for the new iPod Touch. I really need a thin device with a camera.

The Zune HD can can do everything the IPOD touch does as far as the internet goes. Big deal you don't have an app that takes you directly to Facebook or Twitter… but you still have a web browser that can take you there. Almost all cell phones have camera's now-a-days. Almost everyone has a cell phone. The Zune HD will have better quality playback and the HD radio is awesome. Plus you can playback any movies you have onto your TV in HD.
And biggest difference of ALL to me is PRICE..
You might get more with the TOUCH but you can NOT beat the price of the ZUNE HD.

Yeah, I'm pretty pumped. I can't wait for the new iPod Touch to come out in September! As cool as it sounds to listen to HD radio… I'd prefer to have a device where I could watch Youtube videos, browse the web, take some pictures (I've never really had anything camera-wise except for a cell phone), and have a big screen for watching my videos (about 50 gigs- I hope to get the 64 gb version). Plus I have a ton of different games and apps to choose from. I'm not an apple fanboy, I think the Zune HD is gonna be pretty good and I'm happy that Microsoft might be able to compete with Apple for touchscreen devices. That being said, I just think that this generation iPod Touch is a better fit for me.

For $15/mth I get 10 songs to keep (drm-free mp3) and can download as many songs for my Zune (or MCPC) as the Marketplace has to offer. Music is why I bought an mp3 player believe it or not.
So even though I won’t be able to take pics of me on the toilet and update every one when I’m in the bathroom, wiping, washing my hands, and leaving the bathroom, I’ll be getting myself a Zune HD.
