power off the phone…. before turning it back on push and hold the camera button… keep holding it and push the power button…when prompted release the camera button and press/release the volume down button..you will see on screen “volume down key pressed”… when a triangle appears on your screen open the keyboard and press alt+L…this will give you the motorola system recovery screen…then press alt+W …that will reset the phone back to factory…. after it finishes press both the menu and the back button at the same time and that should reset your phone….

This Does not work, there is only 2% chance of success, if you get stuck call t-mobile and report this problem, they will send you a new phone.
that’s what i did, don’t tell them you was trying to jailbreak it tho

i had the same problem. after a week on non stop research, i found the solution.
turn ur phone off
while holding the menu button, plug ur phone into the computer.
tada!

Thanks alot for screwing up the phone… This will NOT root your phone, I will format it, flash it, and leave you with a phone that does nothing but display the date and time set at 1969/1970 and not one button will work on it.

Ok after about 6 hours of trying to root my phone I give up. I am so annoyed with trying to do this I cant even think anymore. In the instructions it tells you do something and I do it and it either does not work or I somehow mess it up. I dont know what to do and I am now stressed. Please someone, anyone help me! I just want to root my damn phone and I am finding it impossible. So if you have some helpful way of getting me through this please do. Thank you in advance!
