Hide Secrets PRO For Android Hides Contacts, Call Logs, Messages, Encrypts Photos, Audio, Video And Other Files

Smartphones of today are the ultimate examples of convergent technology: these gadgets take high-resolution photos, record full HD video, play games, music, videos, browse the web, check email and act as a GPS navigation device* when the need arises.

Because of all these features, these devices hold all sorts of sensitive data that we would certainly never want to fall in the wrong hands: our personal photos, videos, emails, contacts, texts and more. Keeping that in mind, it is pretty important that you use password protection along with an app that hides super-sensitive data that you don’t want anyone other than you to see.

We came across a powerful new app called Hide Secrets Pro that does exactly that. It uses military-level 256-bit AES encryption for files such as photos, audio, video along with letting you hide contacts, call logs, messages, lock apps and more! Check it out after the jump.

We’ve tested the app on a Samsung Galaxy S II on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and confirm that it works as advertised. The app doesn’t have an icon and can only be launched by dialing a specific code (by default 1111) from the Phone app. When you do so, you are presented with a list: contacts, messages, images, audio, videos, files etc. When you go inside a menu, you an add items to hide/encrypt or see the items you have already hidden.
