The thing which you have failed to notice is that I’m not “using” these icons online as a part of my site or anything. All I have done is to share them online with my readers to see the change in icons from Vista to 7. I’m pretty sure I have not done anything which is against their terms. A lot of Softies from MS visit this site quite often and haven’t complained about it.

I wonder how you fail to see the very clear message:

“Microsoft does not allow the use of its icons …, …, …, in online and Internet locations, …, … …”

All these commas are there for a purpose they don’t say we don’t allow their use ‘in advertising in online and internet locations’, they don’t allow their use as well in advertising as in online and internet locations.

Creating content for your blog where you also “publish ads” is what you are doing “online” with icons you are not even allowed to use to begin with!

Now don’t get me wrong. I just don’t understand how you can contradict yourself by first linking to the guide and then failing to comply with it.

Well I did and it reads!!
