I just recently entered the "Smart Phone" abiss.
I have used several PDA's and gadgets in the past, such as Dell's Axim, Psion, Blackberry phones, Palm pda's, you name it.
I decided to stay away due to the repetitive lack of innovation and the constant disapointment that these devices offered me in the past years, let alone the ridiculous green that I was spending.
Well...
I am back, and let me tell you I did it with S T Y L E, yup.
After a loooong time of not having a gizmo in my pocket like in the past years, I've got caught in the Advertisement storm, in magazines, TV ads and well you all know the drill, so...
I started doing some research on the choices that my wife's cell carrier offered (T-Mobile), let me tell ya, the HD2 caught me hands down.
Why HD2?
Huge Screen?... CHECK
Awesome Manufacturer?...CHECK
Corporate environment friendly?...CHECK
Processor capabilities and engineering?...CHECK
Hackability?...Hell yeah...CHECK,CHECK...
Tons of apps,forums,user groups...CHECK
Slick Design?...Do I really need to say anything?...CHECK
Well needless to say, I know that HTC's own EVO 4g offering for sprint is a superior offering, I scored this baby for only $48 at my local Walmart T-mobile's kiosk.
Yes, I know Android has been gaining lots of popularity among users, however Windows Mobile 6.5 beleve it or not is a solid platform that is well integrated in a corporate environment, which is a must for me.
This comment was created in my PC using my HD2's data plan, with a nifty free app that let's your HD2 act as a router to share your data connection.
I have to say HTC, you guys crafted one of the finest pieces of hardware that I ever used...KUDOS.

Get out more dude...ever heard of Verizon HTC Incredible..oh I guess not..what about Sprint HTC Evo 4G? Hmm..guess not either. Nexus One isn't the only android phone that has been out on the market with alot of horse power under its hood. Those phones are actually faster than the HD2.

I used an unlocked iPhone 3g for months..... than I used a g1 and a mytouch w/android...... after experiencing both operating systems (android & apple OS) I can honestly say I am completely thrilled w/ the HD2. If you are one of those people that enjoy sitting around on your phone downloading a number of different applications onto your device daily just for the heck of it.... than android is probably for you...... but if your looking for Hardware stability: bigger screen, quick touch response, 1ghz processor w/ snapdragon (which is much faster than any android phone on the market besides the Nexus One ) etc... than the HD2 in for you. Also if your more of a say " corporate " business tools and such person..... than WM and HD 2 is a perfect fit. Android won't ever match apple... and WM won't ever match apple either..... so also remember that :)
