Well folks, it looks like the browsers war of 90’s is back! and this time its Google which joins the party of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and the likes.
After backing Firefox for a few years, Google today revealed their own web browser named "Google Chrome" to combat with both Microsoft’s Windows Internet Explorer and Mozilla’s Firefox. The link to download Google Chrome went live just a few hours ago and so can be downloaded from http://www.google.com/chrome
Last week Microsoft released Beta 2 of Internet Explorer 8 - the most standard-compliant version of IE to date. Here is what Microsoft has to say about their old nemesis entering browser market:
"The browser landscape is highly competitive, But people will choose Internet Explorer 8 for the way it puts the services they want right at their fingertips, respects their personal choices about how they want to browse and, more than any other browsing technology, puts them in control of their personal data online." - Dean Hachamovitch, General Manager, Internet Explorer Group
Earlier, screenshots had been leaked from the Google Chrome website which temporarily came online, which can be viewed here at Startup Meme. Now we’ve got our hand on Chrome and here is a pictorial tour of the browser:

Does it support add-ons such as Delicious and Stumble-Upon?? I don’t see it in the above screenshots…FAIL

@ JR. No it doesn’t. And not EVERYONE needs those add ons. It’s a lot better than its competitors if you count out the add ons and I’m sure there would be more add ons for Chrome soon than for other browsers with the amount of developers willing to develop for Google Products.

should be interesting to see if Chrome works more efficiently than FireFox and IE… if it’s faster than Firefox, since isn’t IE, then i’ll use it

Well I like, but no RSS capability!!
Also, lot’s of quote “new” features are also in IE8 (Isolate Tabs, Highlight Domain Name)

@ BlasterNT, the Isolated tabs in IE 8 are done at a partial level, and a bad tab still crashes the whole browser most of the times. The implementation of tabs in Chrome is much better as it creates separate processes altogether of a every tab. And agreed, highlight domain is already in IE 8, and it’s something that should be in every browser now, to prevent phishing attacks.
