If I never need
5000 folders to remember their settings in their first place why would this change help me? Arent you saying that i raise that number only if i need more than 5000 folders to remember their settings? My folders cant even automatically change the file in folder total after deleting a file..... or even remember other basic things.
Something deeper must be screwy.

Thanks for the fix. I always had this problem and usually happens in the Documents folders. sadly, others folders get to the normal.
Well, will see if it works when I restart my computer.
thanks.
