Download This Insanely Addictive Paid iOS Game For Free [Apple’s App Of The Week]

Paid apps and games go free on the App Store all the time, but whilst this is good news for those trying to save a few dollars, the usual price tag doesn’t necessarily mean the app was ever worth paying for in the first place. When a particular title garners such acclaim as to be declared Apple’s App of the Week, though, one can be fairly sure that said app is one to be checked out, and with an ordinary price of $1.99, an increasingly popular new game is now completely free for a very limited time.

The game is called God of Light by developer Playmous, and it’s not only very enjoyable, but like any good puzzler, incredibly tricky to master, and will keep you entertained for hours.

Set in space, it somewhat reminds us of the popular Osmos title, which is available for both iOS and Android, but God of Light’s plot is significantly different. Your objective here is to direct rays of light around obstacles by reflecting and manipulating the beams, and with 125 levels and counting, you may quickly find that this game consumes a lot more of your time than you’d realized.

Anyway, thanks to its status as Apple’s App of the week, you can download it completely free of charge, and with a very strong rating among those who’ve played it – many of whom have paid the usual retail price – this is, without a doubt, one of those must-download situations.

If you’re looking for a causal puzzler with plenty of pick-up-and-play ability, then God of Light is for you. If you’re looking for a game featuring stunning visuals and a bit of a challenge, then God of Light is for you. And if you’re looking for a freebie, then for a very short amount of time, God of Light is for you, so pick it up via the App Store link below, and as ever, do leave your thoughts via the comment section.

And like we said before, the title costs $1.99 normally, so grab it up even if you don’t plan to play it straight away. A couple of bucks of savings is always a good thing.
