You can now download Sticky AI app for iOS from the creators of Prisma to turn selfies into stickers. Here are the details on it.

The Russian company behind the wonderful AI-driven app Prisma took the app world by storm when it released the app that turns normal photographs into literal works of art inspired by famous painters. The company has since built on that experience and took Prisma to the next level, but has now also released Sticky AI, a new app which turns those wonderful selfies into stunning stickers for use within other apps.

Most of us are still getting used to it being classed as the norm for selfies to appear in messaging conversations and social media updates. However, it seems that the use of neural network analysis is not only good enough for turning images into works of art, but more. It appears to be perfectly placed to reinvent the selfie game by allowing users to take their self-images, turn them into beautiful altered renditions, and then share in messaging conversations and on social media.

This isn’t just a case of taking that image and applying some artificially and intelligently generated filter to it. If that was the case, then it would essentially just be the Prisma app re-skinned. Those using the app will be able to locate and isolate the “selfie” from the background and then use it in various ways to create entirely unique and new images. Text and other things can be added before it’s saved out as a still image or an animated experience in the form of a GIF.

There’s also an iMessage app extension so that you can use your own custom created stickers in Apple’s stock Messages app natively!

The company has once again managed to create a very similar and powerful experience to what was brought to the market with Prisma. The app looks as though it is very simple with an easy-to-use interface. However, that interface abstracts away a very complex behind-the-scenes process which involves trained neural networks searching for a person within a video or image file.

Like Prisma, Sticky AI is available as a free-of-charge download from the iOS App Store.
