Apple Releases iOS 11.3 Beta 6 For iPhone And iPad

Apple has just made available to download iOS 11.3 beta 6 IPSW links and OTA update for iPhone and iPad users registered on the Apple Developer Program portal.

This is second beta of iOS 11.3 released this week after Apple issued beta 5 to developers and public testers only a few days ago.

Today’s release comes after Apple sent out event invites to press for its upcoming Spring event which will be held on March 27 at a college in Chicago. The said event is expected to be education focused but it’s likely that Apple will make final version of iOS 11.3 available to everyone on the same day as the event.

With March 27 not too far away now, it’s likely that Apple is ramping up the beta journey of iOS 11.3 hence why we see a second beta of iOS 11.3 being released only a few days apart from previous one.

iOS 11.3 in general features new Animoji characters for iPhone X, a new battery health feature designed for older iPhones to tackle the controversial degrading battery and CPU throttling issue, Business Chat for iMessage, among other minor changes here and there.

watchOS 4.3, tvOS 11.3 and macOS 10.13.4 are also in beta testing stage but a new seed for them hasn’t been issued today.

iOS 11.3 beta 6 is currently available for download to Apple Developer Program members only. If you have a configuration profile installed for iOS 11.3 beta, you can grab today’s OTA update from Settings > General > Software Update section of your iPhone or iPad device. As for IPSW links, they are available to download from developer.apple.com.

It’s only a matter of time before Apple makes today’s seed available to public testers of Apple Beta Software Program. We will update this post when its available. Stay tuned.
