In a somewhat surprise move, Apple has made available to download iOS 10.3 beta 7 as well as macOS 10.12.4 beta 7 to those registered on the company’s developer program portal.

Today’s release comes only a few days after Apple seeded beta 6 seed of both iOS 10.3 and macOS 10.12.4 to developers and testers of Apple Developer Program and Apple Beta Software Program portals.

The release of beta 7 this close to beta 6 can only mean one thing, and that is that final production versions of both iOS 10.3 and macOS 10.12.4 are very close to general consumer release.

While it’s currently unknown as to what exactly has changed in today’s release compared to the release from few days ago, given the very minor change in build numbers, it’s likely that today’s seeds patch critical last minute bug before the software hits the final consumer release channels.

Generally speaking, iOS 10.3 features updated Find My iPhone app with ability to find lost AirPods, ability to ask Siri for Cricket scores, SiriKit, HomeKit and CarPlay enhancements, new Apple File System (APFS), and more. macOS 10.12.4 on the other hand feature Night Shift mode among other minor changes.

iOS 10.3 beta 7 OTA update can be installed by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update on the device itself with a previous version of iOS 10.3 beta installed. macOS 10.12.4 beta 7 OTA update can similarly be grabbed by navigating to Updates tab on the Mac App Store. If you don’t have a previous version of iOS 10.3 or macOS 10.12.4 beta installed, you will need to get started by first heading over to developer.apple.com.

As mentioned earlier, today’s seeds are currently available to those on Apple Developer Program only but it’s only a matter of time before Apple makes them both available to testers registered on the Apple Beta Software Program. We will update this post with info on it whenever that happens. Stay tuned.

Update x1: Here’s everything new, if any, in seventh beta of iOS 10.3: iOS 10.3 Beta 7: Are There Any Changes Or New Features?.

Update x2: Beta 7 of both iOS 10.3 and macOS 10.12.4 is now available to public testers of Apple Beta Software Program.
