After getting all steps right , i got stuck with bootloader version 6.02. I followed this guide last few steps and dint need to use fuzzyband:)

I have version 3.1.2 with 05.09 BL and fuzzy band doesnt work for me…

Any solutions on how i am supposed to downgrade now? Geohot blacksnow also doesnt work event though i follow the instructions exactly.

I know the phone is unlockable because the service came on for a ew hours after blacksnow but has since gone off.

unlock of 5.12.01 available with bootloader 5.09(using spirit beta 3.112.12)
Step 1 update to original 3.1.3
step 2 jailbreak with spirit beta 3.112.12(if its says unknown error then its ok)
step 3 turn off
step 4 wait for 1 day or remove cover& take out battery, place battery
step 5 insert sim, its done

why don't you use blackra1n it works for 3gs but again depends on the version u are using
