Colorburn Brings 1000 Photo Filters To Your iOS Device, Is Apple’s Free App Of The Week

Apple’s Free App of the Week schedule was delayed last week due to the holidays but now that the holidays are over, it’s back! And with that, iPhone and iPad users can now grab another fabulous title totally free of cost. Normally retailing for $0.99, this particular title is a must have for those who find themselves short of stylizing options for their captured photos.

Enter – Colorburn, the camera app which literally throws a thousand filters at your disposal just so you can’t complain that you were unable to find that perfect filter for your photo. This very feature alone is the USP of the app but that’s not all that it offers as it also comes complete with “professional editing” features. The app was among App Store’s Best of 2015 apps, and has also been featured as Best New Apps on the App Store twice, which is telling of the title’s popularity with users who “who love to stand out.”

Having a truck-load of filters can be intimidating for any user when you consider browsing through the list of filters and then coming back again to look for that one filter you may have used earlier. Quite the daunting task no? Luckily the developers have included a Favorites section where you can add the filters you prefer to use more often. As the developer puts it, all these choices “inspire your imagination.” Additionally, you also get access to “80 new designed grid filters to apply multiple filters to one picture.”

Since the app comes with an in-built camera app, there’s a split photography feature packed in which lets you “Support multi-shoot and merge to one picture with grid filters.” Additionally:

You can also make a contrast between front and rear camera.
Just tap the icon “3:4” to entry the split photography mode.

Sure the abundance of filters is what makes this app a hit, but the easy-to-use interface ensures that users are not daunted by the plethora of functions that are offered throughout the app. Finally, with the right filters applied, you can use framing, cropping and other tools to apply those finishing touches to your creation, and then finally share them directly from the app onto social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr and Dropbox.
