The Apple Watch is now available for pickup from retail Apple Store outlets as the Reserve and Pick Up system has gone live, offering the ‘in-store’ pickup option when placing the order online in select countries like United States, United Kingdom, China and Australia.
Anyone wishing to purchase an Apple Watch can head over to Apple’s online store and reserve it for in-store pickup right now. You may run into availability constraints for some models though but if you’re lucky and find what you were looking for, your selection will be available for pickup at the nearest available store on the allotted time. Apple is also handing in a special white, custom labeled bag to carry your Watch purchase in when you walk out of the store.
The retail availability was imminent ever since Apple announced earlier this month that retail store sales of the Watch will start in a couple of weeks time in the U.S, followed soon by a release in seven additional countries as well. The company is now simply following up with its own given deadline. This also suggests that Apple Watch supply constraints have been tackled as consumer demand is finally being met with ease.

But for now, customers will still not be able to walk into the store and simply buy an Apple Watch off-the-shelf without any reservation as was being assumed when Apple broke that news. Online reservation is a must if you wish to pickup the Watch in-store. Reservations start at exactly 8am (local time) each day in the U.S, U.K, China and Australia, though there’s a good chance that stores run out of stocks quickly for popular models given the high demand of Apple’s new product.
The Reserve and Pick Up system for Apple Watch has been live for a few hours now and while there is a mixed variety of different Apple Watch models available for reservation, the stock levels are clearly being determined by the population surrounding different stores. The Apple Watch Sport is readily available in many stores but the more expensive Apple Watch with Link Bracelet, or for example the Apple Watch Edition, can only be found in the more popular flagship Apple Store locations.
