It’s no secret that Apple is looking to make a lot more of its Apple Store app than it has so far. Over the past few years, it has been used to place orders, pay for purchases wirelessly when in the Apple Store, and to check out the latest products released by the Cupertino company, but in more recent times, we’ve seen Apple promote the app by giving away free stuff. With this this in mind, as well as the fact that the holiday season is now upon us, Apple has released a playlist of Christmas-themed songs from famed artist such as Mary J. Blige, Kool and the Gang and Kelly Clarkson, and all are available for free through the Apple Store app.
Apple usually joins in with the holiday season festivities, and this time of year is always a great chance to stock up on iTunes content. The company will surely run its 12 Days of Christmas promotional app once again, with each new day bringing exciting videos, music, books and apps. Often, the quality of what’s on offer is debatable as Apple tries to cater to every taste, but if you follow it through the twelve day period, you’re bound to find at least a couple of things to pique your interest.
Still, until we get our annual iTunes Store Christmas goody-bag, the Apple Store app provides a neat playlist of festive tunes, and all you need to do to claim them is open up Apple Store on your home screen, scroll down all the way till you find Holiday Cheer, after which you will be directed to the iTunes Store. You don’t need to type in any special code – provided you’ve followed the steps and been redirected via Apple Store, everything should happen automatically.
You can download the music between now and December 31st 2013, so if you do want a few Christmas-y songs but don’t want to have to pay money for them, be sure to claim the freebies before you forget.
Please note that this offer is restricted to those running the iPhone version of the Apple Store app, so if you’re rocking the new Apple Store for iPad app, the Holiday Playlist is unfortunately not available to you.
