Apple Posts New Videos Encouraging Android Users To Switch To iPhone

Apple’s “Life’s easier on iPhone” series of videos is aimed at making it clear just how much easier people could find common tasks when using an iPhone when compared to the alternative, generally Android.

The company today released two new videos in that series which are aimed squarely at pushing users to make the jump away from Android and towards an iPhone, something Apple always claims people are doing at an ever increasing rate.

The first of the two videos, titled “App Store” is predictably aimed at showing the App Store in a better light than the competition. With icons that are supposed to depict improved safety of the App Store thanks to its human curation and protection against apps which try to do nasty things to your phone or your data, it’s abundantly clear that Apple is hoping to lure people away from what can often be described as the Android Wild West.

The second of the two videos is much more positive, showing how Portrait Mode and Portrait Lighting, equipped on the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, both give users the chance to take photos with highly impressive effects using nothing more than an iPhone.

Both videos are only short affairs, running for 15 seconds apiece, and will likely be used on social media rather than huge TV spots. The new videos continue Apple’s new trend of trying to put the iPhone in a good light when compared to the competition and both of these videos should be successful in doing exactly that.

While the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are both capable of taking some impressive images, along with equally high-end and more recent releases such as the Galaxy S9 from Samsung and Huawei’s P20 Pro, the iPhone is generally regarded to be right up there with the best of them. Apple’s App Store also remains the safest place to get apps on mobile and with so much choice, even the most ardent of Android fan has to surely admit that Apple’s ecosystem is the place to be when it comes to apps.
