Why don't you bug Verizon or Motorola about it? I suppose the problems that surfaced with the Nexus may altered the release cycle for 2.1. If it means it takes longer, that's cool. I'd don't really want the problems reported by Nexus users. Do you?

i'm sorry, but i have yet to see 2.1 arrive on my droid. when exactly could i find it there, or should i bug sholes.info about this?

Still waiting for the update. I read since there were issues that surfaced with the Google Nexus, Motorola is holding off to insure their Android phones don’t present the same problem.

I got an email from Motorola stating the update would be pushed to all Droid handsets within the next 48 hours.

Could you please state your source for the following quote from the article? “Both Motorola and Verizon has plans to bring Android 2.1 update to Droid as soon as Google makes it an official release.”

there has been much speculation on this, but It's difficult to find official word.
