Amazon Launches Countdown To Black Friday 2017 Deals Week

It’s unbelievably bizarre to even start to considering that November has once again come around and that we are on a countdown to Black Friday. It only feels like yesterday when angry shoppers were physically wrestling with each in physical stores to get those Black Friday deals whilst the more efficient shopper sifted happily through online deals.

As always at this time of year Amazon, has published its Countdown to Black Friday deals week page which gives an early insight into the types of deals shoppers can expect during the discount shopping extravaganza, with many of the deals available to get already.

We won’t actually be welcoming the official Black Friday into our lives until Friday, November 24, but that doesn’t stop Amazon from making Black Friday and Cyber Monday a month-long event of discounts, sales, and unbelievably impressive promotions which instantly save any shopper money. As it does every year, Amazon will keep this Black Friday sales and discounts page open and continuously updated throughout November, offering discounts on what seems like an endless array of products, and even throwing in some gift guide advice for good measure on daily basis.

It wasn’t that long ago that most companies, including Amazon, would have a single opening hours sale on Black Friday which would last for a one-day only. Then Cyber Monday was introduced as a way of offering even more discounts on Monday after Black Friday to keep shoppers spending. That has now turned into a week-long (or even month-long in some cases) event of sales, with Amazon starting to offer sales and promotions at the start of November to try and capitalize on not only the Black Friday excitement, but build up on the run-up to the festive shopping season.

The company will also be ensuring that Prime members feel the love with early access to deals and offers before they go live to the majority, as well as giving exclusive offers to those who have an Alexa-enabled device and who access the deals using voice, just like it did last year. Doug Herrington, Senior Vice President of North American Retail at the behemoth retailer, discusses the shopping season:
