$4 iOS Game Starman Goes Free For Limited Time, Here’s How To Get It

All the furore around the disappearance of Apple’s Free App of the Week initiative with the iOS 11 App Store may have died down, but that hasn’t stopped Apple from being generous when it comes to paid iOS apps going free on the Apple Store app.

Today, iOS users have the chance to grab a puzzle platformer game usually priced at the $3.99 mark for absolutely free.

Starman: Tale of Light is a visually stimulating experience, one that can be likened to the famous and popular Monument Valley, but where the latter was colorful, Starman: Tale of Light is dressed in a rather dark and gray theme. This of course served part of the purpose, that is to “bring the light back” – if the title itself wasn’t a good enough hint.

Guide Starman through breathtaking architectural sceneries with delicate atmospheres and elaborate puzzles. Recover the light, and bring life back!

As for the complete features including what makes the game so appealing, here’s what the developers tell us:

Challenging.
You won’t find a single puzzle twice.

Magnificent.
Make the most of full screen mode, carefully adapted for the iPhone X.

Immersive experience.
Thanks to haptic feedback and soothing music.

Universal.
Enjoy starman on the iPad or the iPhone.

This eerie experience has been crafted with love by sergio abril and jacobo abril, two brothers that happen to be architects.

The question however remains; how do you grab this game for free? Well simply launch the official Apple Store app (not App Store) on your iPhone or iPad, and if you don’t have it, it’s a free download from the App Store.

Once done, head over to the app’s Discover section, where you’ll see Starman: Tale of Light listed. Here hit the Download now for free button and you’ll be redirected to the App Store, where you’ll have to tap the Redeem button and follow the on-screen instructions to download the title for free.
